Pre-sale tickets for the Norwalk Boys’ Basketball Division II Regional semifinal game are available in the athletic office from 8 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Tickets will also be available Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Ticket sales will end Thursday at 2:00 P.M.
All pre-sale tickets are $6 and all tickets at the gate are $8. The doors will open one hour before game time. It will be a split session and the gym will be cleared between games.
The Truckers are scheduled to play Vermilion in the first game starting at 6:15.P.M. Thursday at the Stroh Center at Bowling Green State University. Parking is $5.00.
On Thursday, March 6, 2014 the Norwalk Middle School seventh grade Academic Challenge Team competed in the Huron County Academic Challenge Match. A total of seven area teams competed against each other at the Benedict School Gym in Norwalk. After seven rounds of questioning, the Norwalk Middle School seventh grade Academic Challenge Team was declared the winner. Team members, Gavin Blanton, Micah Duncan, JJ Hackenburg, Anna Little, Jared Sitterly, and Sydney Smith, scored a total of 32 points. The team will now advance to the Tri-County Academic Challenge Match held at Firelands College on May 19, 2014. The Tri-County Academic Challenge Match will include the winners from the Erie, Huron, and Ottawa county matches.
The 6th Grade Academic Challenge team won the county-wide competition Tuesday, March 4th against 4 other teams. They will go on to play for the tri-county championship on May 19th.
Norwalk High School art students participated in the Regional judging of the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibit today (Saturday). 26 students in grade 10 - 12 submitted a total of 60 pieces of art. We are excited to announce that we had a total of 17 pieces or artwork from among 10 students that came away as Regional winners. Their artwork will now travel to Columbus where they will be judged at the State level. This is a major honor for all students involved. Congratulations!
