Cable Management in the Classroom

One our biggest challenges is figuring how to managed all the cables associated with technology. We want to provide the best possible technology, but we also have to manage all that come with it, and a lot of cables come technology.

We've done some research and finally believe we have found a solution that might work (see below image).

The classroom cart houses the following items.

  1. Desktop computer
  2. DVD/VHS player
  3. iPevo document camera
  4. Speakers
  5. Power supply (inside of the cart)
  6. Monitor
The classroom cart is capable of projecting a mirrored image from the computer as well as 2 separated images (one to the monitor on the cart and another to the projector).

We will be testing the cart at Maplehurst in the coming weeks.

Please be sure you turn off  your projector. Projectors lamps are very expensive and have a limited number of hours.

October 15th is the cut over date to move from Moodle 1.9 and 2.6 to Moodle 2.8. If you haven't done the migration from 1.9 or 2.6 to 2.8 you will need to do so by the 15th. Documentation can be found at here.
