Tech Tip

Power Outages

As many of you know, Norwalk has a lot of power outages. This can wreck havoc with technology and many times will cause a temporary shut down of services. You may ask what you can to if we have a power outage. Below are some simple steps to do after a power outage.

These tips can be used on laptops, desktops, tablets, Chromebooks, projectors, Smartboard, or any other piece of classroom technology.

  1. Shutdown the device.
  2. Unplug the device and wait for 1 minute then plug it back in. HP Laptops -  unplug and remove the battery for 1 minute, then put the battery back in and plug back in.
  3. Restart the device.

HP laptops owners - Click here to see how to remove a battery.

These simple steps can go a long way, but just in case your device is still acting up email help@norwalktruckers.net
