For those community members not part of our One Call Now Service, the following is the information that went out earlier this morning:

“Good Morning Truckers, this is Superintendent George Fisk

Early this morning I was made aware of a social media post that was received by one of our High School students late last night. This post was made using an application that keeps the sender anonymous. The post made reference to a potential threat, but did not name our school district, our buildings, or any of our students. Norwalk Police Department is in contact with the creators of the application and will continue to work to identify the sender.

In an abundance of caution, Norwalk Police officers will be at our High School throughout the day today.

If you have any further questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school or any of our district administrators.”

We would like to thank the Norwalk Police Dept. for their support and due diligence in investigating this issue, and the students and families who immediately brought this social media post to the attention of our local authorities.

If you have a child attending Norwalk City School District, and did not receive this message, please contact your child’s building secretary.
