Students in Mrs. Schlotterer’s Independent Living classes have been working on a grocery shopping on a budget project. They have to plan 3 days worth of healthy meals and “shop” online at Walmart, while staying within their allotted budget. Several students were shocked at how fast the grocery bills added up!










Student's in Mrs. Seitz's Health classes got hands on experience with CPR/AED practice thanks to Ryan Houghtlen and Kevin McGraw from the Norwalk Fire Department.




High School robotics class touring Humanetics in Huron on Monday 11/17.. Students toured the facility where over 90% of the world's crash test dummies are designed, engineered, & manufactured.
Norwalk High School is excited to offer an opportunity for students to travel to London, Paris, and Madrid this summer. The trip is from June 8th- June 16th, and the deadline to sign up is Wednesday, NOVEMBER 26th. The senior girls dominated the junior girls 36-24 this week at the annual Powder Puff football game. Seniors were led by receiver Taryn Temple, and quarterbacks Audryn Ott and Trinity Lazzara. Junior CJ Bennett also had an outstanding game as quarterback. Thanks also to the pep band for braving the cold to entertain the crowd.

Mrs. Sarah Smith’s kindergarten class is leading the school this week. On Tuesday Harper Smith and Sophia Ramos Cruz helped Mr. Moore lead the announcements. On Tuesday Oliver Compton assisted TLC student Reagan, Dakoda Orndorff assisted TLC student Casey and Jensen Armstrong assisted TLC student Gavin in collecting the recycling from each classroom. On Wednesday, Camden Jenkins and Valeria Mina Cruz lead the announcements.

Students in Mrs. Hipp's Painting and Ms. Boyer's Advanced Drawing Banded together to design the record player. For Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15- Oct. 15), NHS students researched a Hispanic artist and created a portrait of them, or recreated one of their works of art, using cardboard!
Other classes learned the history of alebrijes- spirit animals- and created their very own alebrije using paper mache.

Spanish Club has been working to create a school ofrenda for Día de los Muertos, which is November 1st and 2nd. Students learned what is on an ofrenda, and how the days are used to honor loved ones that have passed away.

Students from Mr. Whaley's Honors Biology class interviewing scientists whose failures led to changes in society. Some of these include Percy Spencer's invention of the microwave, Thomas Edison's invention of the lightbulb, Marie Curie's discovery of Radium & Polonium.

Students in Mrs. Schlotterers foods classes practiced knife skills on play-dough. Afterwards, they put their knife skills to the test by cutting fruit for fruit salsa and they also made cinnamon tortilla chips.










This week is Homecoming Spirit Week at NHS. The seniors were the overall winners of the spirit relays Moday night. The sophomores won the tug of war competition.
