The Norwalk City School District has made a commitment to military-connected students and families to provide them with resources and support. Building principals will be the point of contact for military students and their families. They will identify and inform teachers of the military-connected students in their classrooms and the special considerations military families and students should receive.  

Norwalk High School, Norwalk Middle School, Main St. Intermediate, League Elementary, Pleasant Elementary, and Maplehurst Elementary were among 115 schools in the state of Ohio to be honored as Purple Star Schools in 2025. To be designated as a Purple Star School, each school must show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation's military.
